Get to Work

Monday, September 2nd, 2002

On Wednesday, September 11, Business Volunteers Unlimited and OCNW Development Corporation will team up to organize volunteer projects throughout the Ohio City area as part of the Participate America program. BVU hopes to contribute 100 corporate volunteers to several project sites in our community, including Fairview Park and Monroe Street Cemetery. Community members are invited and encouraged to join with the volunteers to complete tasks such as litter removal, weeding, and planting.

Details are still being ironed out, but project time will probably be approximately half a day, from noon - 5:00 p.m. Dress in old clothes, and bring along garden tools if you have them. For the Monroe Cemetery Project, donations of perennials and bulbs are also being accepted.

For other project sites, confirmation of schedules, or other information, call Magda Gomez at OCNW: 216/781-3222.
