Family Peace Action
St. Patrick’s Church on Bridge at W. 38 is working with the American Friends Service Committee on a Fill-a-Shoebox campaign. Filled boxes are being accepted at the rectory office (side entrance on the church side) throughout the month of February, and will be distributed to families with children in Iraq.
Each box should be left unsealed, and should contain these items: 4 bars of soap, 4 adult-size toothbrushes, one 13-24 oz. plastic bottle of shampoo placed in a plastic bag, one 8 oz. or larger tube of toothpaste, 1 hairbrush, 1 wide-tooth comb, 1 fingernail clipper, 1 box adhesive bandages. Donations to help defer shipping costs are also welcome.
