Friendly Pub to Open

The Olde Angle Tavern is putting a new edge to the corner of Bridge and West 25th. Residents may recall the Ohio City Hardware building catching fire about three years ago, leaving a charred empty building on the up and coming West 25th Street.

Olde Angle Tavern owners and long-time Ohio City residents Alex Gleason and Matt Jozsa saw a need for a casual place to drink and eat in the neighborhood. They wanted something with character, cutting edge bar food and a place all their friends could afford to visit regularly. They combined their talents of Gleason’s commercial real estate development and Jozsa’s chef skills and went to work. A couple years and dollars later they are about to officially open the totally renovated space in mid March.

Jozsa opened the door to his carry-out business in February. It’s open Monday-Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm. Expect hearty grilled sandwiches, inviting warm salads, homemade soups, fresh-cut fries and pre-packaged beverages. Everything is quickly made to order. There are daily specials, emphasing unique vegetarian combinations. Call ahead, 216-861-5515, to place your order so it’s ready when you arrive.
