Spanish for Kids

Posted on Monday 5 May 2003

Looking for a fun way to introduce your children to a foreign language while they enjoy the afternoon sunshine and the company of friends? Sign them up for a mini-course in Spanish this summer!

The small-group class will meet three days per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) from 2 - 4 pm, from June 30 - July 18, at the home of Laura and John Fratus. Born in Peru, instructor Nery Vera has 11 years of teaching experience and is great with young children. The class will incorporate singing, games and introductory conversational skills. Parents should be ready to help children with a short “homework” assignment each night during the 3-week class.

Program cost is $180/child, which includes materials. The class size is limited to eight children ages 5-8; call Nery at 216.227.9385 to register. A deposit of $50 is required by May 30, with the remainder of the fee due on the first day of class.

Nery also provides private instruction to kids and adults in Spanish and French. Call for details.
