You’re Invited

Sunday, June 1st, 2003

Families interested in swapping child care are invited to a Get-Acquainted Brunch on Sunday, June 8 from 1 - 3 pm at the home of Jill and James Levin. This is a chance for us to get to know one another and have the children play together before arranging “swaps.” A hard copy of the directory will be available at that time. To be included in the directory, email (jlevin@en.com) or call (216-621-1667) by June 6. Please RSVP to same.

• Did you know many Great Lakes freighters have one or more state rooms aboard? But these ships are not permitted to charge for passenger transport, so several shipping lines regularly raffle off voyages. To try your luck at winning a truly unusual vacation, visit www.boatnerd.com and click on “What’s New.”

• All areas of the Cleveland Botanical Garden are still closed during the completion of the glasshouse that will house the cloud forest and desert exhibits. The Grand Re-opening will be on July 15. After that, there will be an admission charge of $7 for adults and $3 for children to visit any of the gardens.

• You can get a list of area restaurants that are smoke-free at www.clevelandclinic.org/health/smokeless/dining.htm On the other hand, if you’d like to be guided to a local establishment that will welcome both you and your stogie, check out the list on www.cigarfriendly.com
